Music from the Panel next to an annoying Nickelback CD, I did not place it like this, it just happened organically because it’s an inevitable pairing. Matchbox 20 further along the shelf which I assume will make its way closer eventually

RIP Martin Parr. Loved his whimsical, dry and playful observations. Going to take another look at some of the many MP photo books I own tonight #martinparr www.theguardian.com/artanddesign...

1980s me would be really unimpressed with this Garfield graffiti on Sydney’s Como Bridge. And 2020s me is also unimpressed

Fun Saturday at the Stardew Valley concert in Sydney the other night. The 35 piece orchestra transforming the digital creations of #concernedape.

Today’s Salvos find, volume 3 of best bits of the late show on VHS. Now I need to find volume 2…

Today’s find: 100% Hits Vol. 24. Some blah long-forgotten songs, but it is still late 90s and features Radiohead’s No Surprises, Robyn Loau’s Sick With Love and Verve’s The Drugs Don’t Work, so there are a few redeeming features.

During a recent break, I had dinner the other week at Club Callala on the NSW South Coast where I heard a snippet of that song being played during a trivia game. I wasn’t playing, but misremembered it as “Lola” or “Rona” 😆

Did not get this @mattfulton.bsky.social - I assume you already have it as your website immediately comes up when you search for them. 😆 They lasted as long as Marky Mark and his funky bunch it seems

Op shop finds, this time at a Noffs charity shop. MIlli Vanilli, Mel and Kim, MC Hammer and Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch all $1 each! Retro cheese! #retrocheese

I have to use this mouse temporarily at the work desk I’m at, and for a left handed person this is a travesty! Have had to set my mouse settings to right handed to deal with it, my wrist hurts, and I can barely work out what’s going on #firstworldproblem

Doing my bit for left handed people and putting the spoons in the hotel buffet breakfast facing the correct way for easy access.

Found a few old VHS copies of Keeping Up Appearances at my mum’s. Probably an ABC shop purchase back in the day #mrsbucket

Did you just make that up? I asked ChatGPT. "Sure!" it says nonchalantly. "I did mix things up!" What the..

Sigh

Anyway, actual people in the FB group correctly identified the character as Mr Yawn from the mattress factory. I did a typo and said "Mt Yawn" in ChatGPT where it duly talked about Mount Yawn being in a Cap'n Snooze ad campaign as a dreamy mountain metaphor for sleep! 2/3

I thought I'd ask ChatGPT to help identify a character someone on the Australian Nostaglia group wanted to identify: an anthropomorphic mattress mascot. ChatGPT duly replied, "Marty the Mattress". But this was just a figment of ChatGPT's imagnination and it accused ME of misremembering! 1/3

The local Vinnies has now sorted out the CDs by colour! Similar to how they do books and clothes! At least it will be easy finding copies of Martin/Molloy’s Brown Album, Poop Chute and Eat Your Peas

It’s true, Australia has one of the world’s most expensive passports and this warping is what happens if you leave it out for a few days. They don’t even give you the little plastic protective sleeves they used to come in; I still use one that’s more than 20 years old (also pictured).

Over a decade ago this was the type of thing PR companies would send you: LCD video mailer press kits with built in videos. This was the only purpose of the rechargeable device: to play a couple of two minute clips about the product! #presskit
