You probably read it already but loved Rosen’s take here bsky.app/profile/jayr...
"When in doubt, draw a distinction."

Not sure where he got it, but in grad school one of my teachers taught me that.

This (long) thread is about the key distinctions I rely on as a critic. There's a Twitter version from 2021. This one builds on that one.

I will post them one at a time. Ready?

Thanks for doing this. He was one of the first accounts I followed like 15 years ago on twitter and it’s so fun seeing these posts and remembering what twitter felt like back then

Even beyond misinformation just so depressing we cannot enjoy creating and consuming human content. Feels so damn dehumanizing when someone sends an AI image to the group chat and gets a bunch of lols

This is a deranged thread with a lot of people’s personal grievances projected on male loneliness as a straw man. men have different support structures around friendships and negative stigmas around mental health. It’s ok to think about male loneliness as distinct without making it about privilege

I don’t quite follow this part, do you mean they aren’t obligated but should take it seriously?

The least cynical view is the war on talent is over and employees don’t need to do remote work to compete, and so don’t. But even then drop the high minded pretense about this being for team building and community
