eople living with HIV in the UK continue to have lower life satisfaction and #QualityOfLife than the general population. Despite huge progress in treating and preventing HIV, it remains a stigmatised condition.

We can ensure these fears don't stop them from enjoying their lives
Life with HIV should be free of stigma.

The UK's #HIV response is failing women.

In 2023, new cases increased the most in heterosexual women, but they are less likely to be offered or to take a test. Too many are diagnosed with HIV late, when it is more likely to have affected their health.

28 years on, #PrincessDiana’s empathy still echoes. She didn’t just challenge #HIV stigma around— she reshaped the public’s understanding of the epidemic, one hand-shake, one conversation, one act of kindness at a time. We honour our late Patron today by continuing that work.

People living with #HIV should have the right to determine when, or even if, they share their status. Someone’s HIV status is personal health data and should not be shared without explicit and informed consent.
Sharing your H.I.V. status is your decision
