Yeah I think you’re right I’m giving them way too much credit. Leon is their golden boy and if they get rid of him then they have no choice but to maybe acknowledge Jill and Claire’s existence for once in future games.

Especially given that the child dies in its next appearance! And its legacy is rewriting Samus’ DNA and twisting her into an inhuman creature. She becomes mother as monster. Beyond that, I do agree with Nintendo that Samus is morally good at her core, however she’s clearly not a saint.
