No worries, and I'm glad you're taking charge! It's so upsetting with the feed is just full of rubbish stuff. My threads feed has started showing me pictures of frogs this month and I'm not complaining 😂

Second but no less menacing or dangerous, is Skylar. And yes, he's Skye's (the LI) dad. Born on the streets of Magrath, he's murdered his way into the tarilla elite and is Thalia's only true oponent in the quest for supreme leadership over the city.

Villain time!

First up is Thalia. She's a bit of a megalomaniac. Everything she ever does and ever has done is driven by her desire for ultimate power and control. To her, people are objects.

Just finished this lovely story by @nataliekelda 🩵
If you need to read something cozy and romantic, but also melancholic, go grab this book. It's about a chronically ill water nymph that falls in love with a human woman and must face a tough decision about her own life.
Especially recommend if you struggle with a chronic illness and would like to see it reflected in a fantasy(ish) setting.

Callum and Martha! My favourite ace couple and Balfour's Magrathian BFF's. They don't share much about their murderous first few months together but they long since decided they prefer a quiet life on the outskirts of society.

Be super ruthless clicking "not interested" and mute a bunch of words. Don't interact in any other way with those posts. I never see anything I don't want on Threads, the algorithm is quite good once you get it trained!

I think the best thing we can do is keeping ourselves safe and sane, mostly by escaping into other worlds as much as possible(it's what I do to cope anyway, I can't deal with how this world is atm)

Skye is both the warmest, kindest person you can ever meet and one of the absolute deadliest. She's working on some big revolutionary plans when she runs into Balfour and she knows their budding romance can jeopardise it all.

Book Recommendation

I'm going to need you guys to stop what you're doing and pick up Reflections of Lilje Damselfly by @nataliekelda immediately. I picked this up on a whim last night as I was cleaning my little library room. It was calling to me at the top of one of my stacks, because @foxandwit made this lovely edition in one of their last book boxes. I didn't know anything about this book going in, and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY. This book is heartbreakingly beautiful. It packs the biggest punch in only 200 pages. This book is about what it means to lose yourself in chronic illness and how to find yourself on the other side. How to stand up for yourself and what you want. How to find and accept love, even when it's forbidden. And how to take the path less traveled, because it might lead to the most beautiful ending.

My gods this was stunning. I didn't have crying before 8am on my bingo card, but I'm so glad I picked this up. And I kept thinking about the similarities and illness rep between this story and When the Tides Held the Moon, which is another of my absolute favorites of the year.

This is a 5 star read, easy. And it's on Kindle Unlimited. Do yourself a favor and pick up this sapphic love story between a water nymph & a human as soon as possible. My goodness. I'm (almost) too stunned to speak.

Normally September is pretty lovely but it was like a switch between summer and autumn was hit on September 1st. We had a dry summer but after 2 record-wet years in 23-24 it's barely managed to dry everything and now we're back to the sort of dampness that makes the entire house grow mould 🥲

I adore this entire trilogy but this book is special because it goes to my favourite galaxy(Jungle Galaxy where blue fangs are from) 🥰
