But I fear that will not happen because so many journalists are obsessed with access or reporting on humans as if they are only stories to gossip about.

What should happen is all US journalists take action, like a media blackout on anything to do with Trump or reporting only on his involvement on Epstein until the charges are dropped.

But why would he go to Nottingham Forest? Surely he has better options?

I assume Beckham sacked his PR team because that response is incredibly patronising and dismissive.

Anyway, I hope they resolve this in silence because family estrangement is incredibly sad.

Children are not objects. Debt works both ways. Parents have a duty to create a safe and stable environment for their children. The idea that money and social access is enough, and neglecting love and care, is incredibly odd.

The Tangerine Kiddie Fiddler has imposed tariffs because he knows he can’t invade Europe.

The UK and Europe need to respond in kind at least, to at least try to create some false appearance of “partner” instead of subject.

European leaders will stand every November to commemorate an event they’re supposed to have learned from. The same countries that have a history of appeasement.
January 17, 2026 at 5:18 PM
To the person they’re appeasing, they now appear weak because they’ve confirmed their feelings of superiority.

So they continue with the same behaviour, instead of doing what others expected, which was to compromise in response.

They don’t like each other. There are bigger issues they have to address than a fine.

The option of keeping this private, the parents paying it off and then telling daughter to either take her own transport or coming to an agreement for future drop offs was there.

But no, they decided to take it to the public. For what, money that in time, they won’t miss?
January 15, 2026 at 1:43 PM
I think the fact they’ve taken this to the Guardian means either (a) it’s not that serious (b) it’s not real but a likely scenario that encourages engagement or (c) the parents and child need to be estranged.

Then when it all goes tits up, they’ll remove him in order to keep it.

As with BloJo the Clown, as it will be with Farage the Racist.

The right wing won’t just suffer a collapse, it’ll be an avalanche. And it shall be beautiful to watch.

What these defective Tories do have is years of experience in political cannibalism and manoeuvring.

They will use him as a useful marble head before lopping it off. They’re not going to Reform because they believe in its policies. They’re going because they want power and will use him to get it.
January 15, 2026 at 1:36 PM
I imagine they’re trying to calm things down.

If Salah wants to leave, he should leave. If he wants to stay, he needs to be more considered in his actions.
December 7, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Salah needs to be careful what he wishes for. He sounds like he wants to stay, so if that’s the case, he needs to act like it. Otherwise Hughes and Edwards might actually force him out, if they think his presence is too disruptive now. Calling their bluff like this might not work.

I don’t think this makes things better for Slot at all. It’s been a long time since we’ve had this visible disharmony in the squad. That cannot help him get the results he needs. And he needs a win against Inter.
