I had ID cards when living in Spain and the Netherlands and they are brilliant!! They make banking, immigration, parcels delivery, hospital appointments, council issues...everything...easier. Bloody Tesco clubcard has more data on you than you can imagine yet you don't want the government to?

Having had an ID card while living in Spain and The Netherlands I can't tell you how much EASIER it makes everything. It links your ID with medical records, immigration, council, even parcel delivery and banking. So much simpler!

I realise the audience for this would just be "me, and also maybe other foreigners" but I would love to read something on why Brits, who are happy to live in a country where their every movement outside is filmed by CCTV, hate the idea of having ID cards, something plenty of countries happily have
