Now inputs to chicken are getting cheap. Where else can soybeans go? China isn’t buying soy so likely the prices on soy is lower, a key ingredient to chicken feed.

People act like egg pricing was/is a reflection of inflation vs a specific event(s) that affected the supply of eggs (avian flu). Unfortunately one of the avian flu events occurred during a time of intense inflation so media picked up on eggs as their flagship example.

I wonder how much of the price drop is due to deportations. Demand for gas seems fairly inelastic per person, so just a small decrease in population might have an outsized effect on prices for gas.
