Co-host of the RPG Reanimators, where we discuss and play all kinds of horror related (or not horror related) RPGs. Always happy to bring in new guests and players! https://rpgreanimators.com/
There's probably some sense in having each playwalled document split so that players can also keep a folder of all their unlocked info.

Overall, we enjoyed playing our first session of Triangle Agency, but we'll have some system issues to think through before our next session... or summary sheets to make so that we're not flipping all over the book. As the GM I need to reread the book to validate I didn't miss any helpful charts.

Lastly, one player brought up that this game in particular requires a lot of trust, as the commendation/demerit system can easily triggered by other players intentionally. It's easier to get into PvP scenarios than expected, so GMs should be thoughtful about what commendation are awarded for.

Saving some time at the end of the game session to have some of the Work/Life balance scenes would have helped the flow, but maybe having those as interludes or at the start of the next session would allow for everyone to organize what their time spent unlocks.

I'm so thankful that one of our players found a cheat sheet for the mission flow, I found myself flipping through the book a bit more than I'd like during the mission wrap up. I do worry that the longer the games go, the more the playwalled items will become a rule search nightmare.

The lack of mechanical ways to perform social actions requires players to really think through their NPC interactions, but that also requires the GM to consider NPC motivations carefully. Needs confidence from the GM in making decisions on how NPCs react.

The Commendation/Demerit system is an interesting way to drive player action. Each competency/scenario has their own list of actions that provide either of these two resources, but we found it difficult to remember to award/claim them during the action.

Really fun to read, the new ancestries in particular would be fun to try out!

Also, I don't recall if Seven Soldiers of Victory was suggested, it's a Morrison comic that was a bunch of individual series that crossed over with each other. A superteam that has no idea it's a superteam. Lots of ambitious ideas that get thrown in.

I really enjoyed Human Target by Tom King, fun twist on a murder mystery with superheroes. The protagonist is poisoned and has to solve his own murder, and it's all tied up in Justice League International.

Yeah, some of the runbacks are BRUTAL.

Like, it doesn't make the game bad (finished with 100%), but those annoyances mean I probably won't ever replay the game.

That boss made the others hurt the most, since it clearly showed the game could respawn you right outside the boss. It just doesn't for most of them. There's a few more where the run back has literally no enemies, it's purely a time waste.

Couldn't agree more, the traversal is so enjoyable that bosses seemed more like an annoying barrier than a culmination of an area.
