I know airline economics isn't really your milleu, but I wonder how different the trip cost of a 50-seat Saab really is versus a more modern 70-seat ATR (based on the props in the photo I'm just assuming they have the -600 model). Maybe utilization and capital costs of newer a/c would outweigh that.
