Solzhenitsyn did not receive his prize until he attended the 1974 #NobelPrize ceremony after he had been expelled from the Soviet Union. His exile would last 20 years until he returned to Russia in 1994. He passed away in Moscow on 3 August 2008, aged 89. [2]
