This is the final chapter of my dissertation, supported by the National Institute on Aging! 10 states now have conscientious objection laws for health care providers, and these laws were associated with lower HIV testing rates and worse health among LGBQ+ folks.
#MorningReads Sexual minority folks living in states w/ conscientious objection laws were significantly more likely to report never having had an HIV test & to rate their health as fair/poor. Stronger federal non-discrimination protections are urgently needed. #LGBTHealth&Policy

🚨 New publication on LGBTQ+ health equity!
Among 954 LGBTQ+ adults, we identified 3 patterns of healthcare experiences:
✅ 34% affirming care
➖ 60% neutral care
❌ 6% discriminatory care
Patients with affirming patterns of care reported highest rates of preventive care.
