Why do I never learn my lesson about flying American Airlines. lol, never again, and I mean it this time.

It can be hard to balance writing with the time required to build community around that writing. But, I have set a goal, I want to accumulate 3,000 peeps to share my words with. The question is, which platform? Where am I most likely to find an audience for fantasy writing on n short and long form?

Don’t know what this says about me, but on my way to work I imagined a giant severed hand with some of the forearm (all together approximately two city buses or 131.2 average bananas in length) falling from the sky and smashing a lovely little house next to me. I am a sucker for great story telling and Wicked, in my opinion, is great story telling… Oh, and happiest of new years and such.

Here, I don’t feel like I’m speaking into the void so much when I post.

Two words. I wrote two words on my WIP yesterday. I did a lot of other things too, but not a lot of writing. I like them two words, they fit the sentence very well and I’m not sure if I would have found those two words on any other day. So perhaps, yesterday was just meant to be a two word day.

Today is a good day. I think.

40 minutes, that’s what I was able to squeeze out of yesterday for writing. I could have done more, but I didn’t, and that’s ok… right? Of course it is, it has to be. I will do more today, maybe.

I hope everyone had a good holiday break in the US, or just a good last week anywhere else. I’m looking for a new book to read, a magical fantasy or science fiction. What would you recommend?

I may not be a millionaire but I am an imaginaire, with no shortage on ideas. Which is better than a money because there ain’t no taxes they can charge on that… yet. More ideas less problems.

I need a good writing session, the kind where you have an idea and execute on that idea so well that you are a bit mentally exhausted after and feel a small swell of pride, followed by the uncertainty of whether you can replicate such quality ever again… But you still try each time.

I love writing. There is this high I chase where my caffeine levels, word count, content, and quality of writing all line up to make me think, ‘dang I think I can actually do this.’ #writing #writingcommunity #writelife #writerlife
