A sprue is the waste that is removed from a product created via an injection mold process. This piece is made from 127 sprues, representing 127 injected letters. This piece recycled 500 grams (1.1lbs) of plastic manufacturing waste.

HEXES 001
2024. Ocean Plastic and Salvaged Plywood. 31 x 11 inches.

Yellow vinagre bottles, white cloro bottles, and black crab traps routinely wash up on South Florida beaches and are all unrecyclable. HEXES is a decorative exploration of the patterns found within our reclaimed plastic waste.

JM Guitar | Nathan Moyer x Jesse Fishman

Partnered up with Jesse Fishman to build our first guitar out of salvaged mahogany and nearly 1.5lbs of unrecyclable ocean plastic. I completed the body, and Jesse Fishman completed the neck and assembly.

One of my favorite installations from 2024 was at Orchard Villa Elementary with words by Eugene, a thrilled grader at the time.

The letters are made from 3.99 lbs of recycled post-consumer plastic and plastic pollution harvested from various beach cleanups held throughout Miami-Dade County.

SHATTERED Coffee Table

Recycled damaged steel chair frames from Sozo Sushi Bar into bases for a series of mid-century modern coffee tables.

The SHATTERED top is made from various salvaged hardwoods, one pound of unrecyclable plastic pollution, and epoxy.
