He had to retune, I got a good story and a small bruise out of it.

“Hit me over the head” might be a *slight* embellishment, but he was a storyteller, too, so I’m sure he’d forgive the dramatic license.

I was working AV at a corporate event 20+ years ago where Peter was playing and giving a motivational talk. We were both in the crowded backstage, when he turned around quickly with his guitar and in doing so accidentally clobbered me right in the forehead with the head of the guitar.
