Outrageous that vast amounts of topsoil (the size of 16 football pitches) from HS2 works have been casually scattered across the Edgcote battlefield. What potential archaeological discoveries have we now lost from this vital WOTR site?

I'm struck by this remarkable line of mothers and daughters, four generations of movers and shakers in a men's world - Katherine Swynford, Joan Beaufort, Cecily Neville and Margaret of York. To say these women left their mark in their worlds would be an understatement. More soon.
