My partner and I planned to make dinner, chill, and watch some TV. Then, my 91 year old Mom called to invite us for a family gathering with Chinese food for dinner.

Because of life issues with my partner last year, I wasn't able to take down my imitation tree until March. It's an old school tree...9½ foot tall tree. It's a lot of work to clip in branches and string lights. He said just leave it up. So, I decorated it for different holidays. I really enjoyed it.

I always make Bakewell Cream biscuits. It's a leavening agent made in Maine.

Since I live in Maine, I know a Bean bag when I see it. My partner @flannelforever.bsky.social and I got matching LL Bean flannel shirts for Christmas.

Do whatever feels right for you. Everyone is different. I couldn't take my wedding band off for 2 years.

I'm masking because of my partner is immune compromised, and I have an autoimmune disease. I get looks all the time. I don't care usually. I was in a store this week and a woman followed me around, coughing behind me loudly. I often confront them, but wasn't up for it this time.

The plate is a hand painted Nippon china plate. It is over 100 years old. It belonged to my great aunt Bernice.

I worked in a local bakery for years. I made scones every day I worked. Friday was chocolate scone day.
