I’m not sure there’s anything more beautiful than walking West Cliff in early spring when the weather is like it is right now. We have an extra hour of light today, get out and enjoy it!

Last evening as the Giant Dipper was about to be swallowed by a thick wall of fog. 20 minutes after I took this, I couldn’t even see the lights of the Boardwalk from a very cold Santa Cruz Wharf!

Marcella
Marcella is a 26’ Monterey Clipper fishing boat built in 1918. After a complete refurbishment, it’s been on display at the Santa Cruz Wharf since 1995.

Today, the now famous wharf bathroom turned life boat to 2 very lucky construction workers that went for the ride of their life’s on, was torn down and removed from the mouth of the San Lorenzo River. And not good news for the reopening of the undamaged portion of the wharf, it’ll be weeks at best
