The global biodiversity crisis is accelerating and international trade is a primary driver threatening species with extinction. Nature Needs More is an Australian registered charity committed to curbing this destruction. https://natureneedsmore.org/
Sadly, wild species have a better chance of survival due to a drop in consumer spending on luxury goods than from anything the conservation world currently does on trade.

For those who care about the exploitation of wild species, enjoy the drop in luxury spending highlighted in the image!

The 2019 IPBES report confirmed trade is the biggest extinction risk for marine species and the second biggest risk for terrestrial & freshwater species. After seafood, fashion & furniture/decor are the biggest users of wild species. Where regulators do exist, they can’t cope with trade conditions.

What will professional life look like in tomorrow’s world? What type of jobs will the participants of School Strike For Climate and Fridays for the Future want? Many know they will need to work to clean up the mess left by their parents and grandparents’ generations.
