not exactly, post th8/9, after the internet became widespread he uses free to use/license free stock images, hence why nobody is credited for those stock images. before that, he uses stock images he got from CDs. he never really "asked for permission" or "buy the license" for stock images.

especially on MTL case. people who sees it as a "replacement for translator" never actually tried playing a game with MTL because holy shit, it fucking sucks. it was never meant to be a replacement, it's an accessibility tool for playing niche rpgmaker erogame from dlsite bcs those thing rocks.

i felt like a lot of AI takes are more nuanced on the other site. AI still sucks massive balls but blind hatred towards it on every single circumstances sucks. saw someone comparing MTL to genAI even though MTL exist way before ai boom. i hate how muddy the convo has become because of tech guys.

This one upset me the most because while the summary was nice, a lot of it is very out of context and its very zun focused and ignore a lot of what other people says there. Genuinely if you want to be a hater, be a knowledgeable hater.

Its not even an "interview". Its group talk with zun and a bunch of his friends. Many of those who has distaste for ai including beatmario. The summary (which got shared around) is very neutral which is really different from the group talk where they Bash ai music and game devs quite a lot lol.

The other reason to believe this is because there's some ai background in 19 as well which is also probably because of the Adobe stock images

The bg doesnt seems to be generated from gpt model as its very inconsistent and i doubt zun know how to use SD and other diffussion model. So its most likely from Photoshop stock images

In the nhk documentation about touhou, zun used Photoshop to draw th14 sprites. I had no reason to believe he switched software. Most likely scenario is that he uses the Adobe stock for the bg, which are full of ai.

People bring up the GTP radio when saying about the "zun support ai" but have people actually watched it and not just read the summary? Practical every musician there Bash ai. Zun said that ai is too "perfect" and why he isnt Really into it. And there are a bunch very non-ai statement the group made
