My usual way of going about it is saying something like "I really like the way you did [...]," using indirect language to refer to the thing (but that's just because I'm a chicken)

That's nothing; The busses here have absolutely cursed ads on them that say, and I quote

"AI says public transit riders get more screen time, consider switching to public transit"

I am infinitely appalled every time I see it, it's truly a marketing trainwreck
