I et land som Somalia er diasporagrupper kendt for hurtig og massiv mobilisering i forbindelse med tørke og oversvømmelser. Og i Ukraine har diasporanetværk mobiliseret store beløb og ressourcer efter Ruslands invasion i 2022.
