Trump is of course lying.
-L.A. reservoirs were FULL.
The problem is pumping so many gallons that fast to higher elevations in multiple locations simultaneously.
-Gatlinburg lost power to their pumps/transfers because they failed to clear dry vegetation near those power stations.

Trimming U.S. government spending is hard, even by amounts that are much less astounding.

Economic hardships are the root of migrant surges and ironically, Trump’s tariffs would only cause more surges on a larger scale.

People have been puzzling over Scott Bessent's claim that tariffs can't be inflationary — which is, by the way, completely different from Trump's claim that foreigners will pay. The thing is, there is a kind of model here — one that is clear, consistent, and totally false 1/

Thank goodness MAGA wasn’t around in the 40s. Our greatest achievements of stopping global tyrants from invading and defeating our allies never would’ve happened.
They would’ve turned into trade negotiations for profit.

Proof the border is no more “open” than it was in 2019. Economic situations in countries of origin are what cause surges.
Trump must be disappointed he missed an “invasion” to capitalize on.

Trump’s first term tariffs on China cost the US taxpayers 28 billion when China refused our soybeans.
The next round would mean long term disaster for farmers as Republicans also plan to remove the CCC provision that saved those farms.
