Studio musician, composer, sporadic horror writer, Bram Stoker nominee. I’m here to communicate, not self-promote endlessly.
He used to be my favorite right-wing neo-noir writer, and in books like White Jazz, he has amazing stylistic range and a really astute ear for voices. But I’ve found him a tad repetitious over the past decade.

Really beautiful, intricate images of crows in the environment, Richard. They remind me of silverpoint etchings.

If Christ were here, the first thing he’d do is kick over the tables of Thiel, Musk, and every hedge fund CEO who has taken over and degraded education, healthcare and the legitimate media channels of journalism.

But if crowds chanted “Himmler-Similar!” or “Artificial Himmler Flavor!” when Miller walked by, would he be flattered?

As you liberate yourself with metaphors, think of others
(those who have lost the right to speak).
And as you mine the distance, thinking of others through twilight, think of yourself
(and say, “If only I were a candle in the dark”).

As you pay your water bill, think of others
(those who have only clouds from which to drink).
As you return home, to your own home, think of others
(do not forget the people who live in tents).
As you count the stars before nodding off, think of others
(those who have nowhere to sleep).
