Here's a throwback to the 1970s! We searched the archives and found photographs from the NCMA's children's Christmas tree trimming events and parties held in 1974 and 1978.

Last Saturday, we held our Winter Lantern Walk, and the community showed up not just with some very impressive lanterns, but donations to local organizations.

Attendees donated hundreds of items for WRAL's Coats for the Children, the Wake County Animal Center, and InterAct of Wake County!

The latest additions to the works on view in West Building include several new acquisitions, such as Louise Faulque’s "Study Head of a Woman," which marks the NCMA’s doubling of the number of works by women artists in the European collection since 2021.

Hanukkah celebrates light, resilience, and faith—values reflected in the modern and contemporary ceremonial works found in the Judaic Art Gallery at the NCMA.

An example of this is the newly installed "Hanukkah Lamp" by Ludwig Wolpert, a pioneer of modern Judaica.
