Canes need to extend Hall, what a great fit he turned out to be. Not sure they want to pay the $6 million AAV he currently gets over a long term contract though.

This is why we all love Aho. I hope the Canes can get him the partner he deserves that wants to be in Raleigh for a long time to come.
Aho on the Rantanen deadline noise: "I care about him, care about this team, care about this organization. ... You hear all the noise and all that stuff. But yeah, I've just kind of tried to be there for him and pull the same rope here as a group and let the other people do the talking."

I was hoping Rantanen would work out; we do love our Fins here in Raleigh. We'll see if this proves to be the end of high end players in Carolina or if the Canes can make the best out of an unfortunate situation. I appreciate their efforts to try to bring in a superstar for a playoff run.
