I only just went and won the jackpot in this month's @octopus.energy Wheel of Fortune!
That's a lovely-jubbly 800000 points, worth £1000! 😃🥳🍻
Great timing as it'll pay for the EV charger I was planning to order today.
Think I also better buy a Euromillions ticket while my luck is in! 😂

Who said you never win on the @octopus.energy Wheel of Fortune?
I think I better buy a Euromillions ticket for tonight while my luck is in! 😆

If you can decipher my scrawl, here's my crib sheet of opening hours for the pubs on the City of Ale trails.
If a day is marked with X the pub is shut that day. Late opening or early closing highlighted orange.
All info taken from the pub websites or Google so blame them if it's wrong!😂
Cheers! 🍻

I just did the stats for my walks around Norwich's City of Ale trails.
Over the 3 days my route (starting and ending at the Railway station) was 23.1 miles and I supped 25.5 pints, that's 1.1 miles walked per pint. 😆
Had great fun doing it as always!
Back to more sensible drinking again now... 😉🍻

Oh no, did someone say let's meet in the Beer Hatch? It seems lap 2 of the City of Ale Trails may have begun already...😬
The Barsham v Lacons MSB (Maris Special Bitter) is very good and shows off the Maris Otter Malt rather well.

And that's Norwich's City of Ale 2025 done! Finishing at the delightful Vine and Moongazer's Hares to Victory. Quite apt I suppose.
It's been a blast as always and I've met some lovely people along the way. Cheers!

Hopped up Unthank Road to the Beehive, another smashing pub. There's usually a good buzz in here...
Celebrating completing the 'Finest' trail and getting another badge with Green Jack's Excelsior. You can't go wrong with their beers despite them coming from Suffolk! 😂🔰
One. Pub. To. Go.

Up next is the Hop Rocket, a great little micro-pub from the guys behind the Fat Cat's. Have gone for their Unthank Bitter, which does taste quite similar to Norwich Bitter... 😆🍻
Two pubs to go.

Another nice walk over to the Garden House, a brilliant pub that always has a fantastic variety of cask ale on. It's run by some lovely people too who do a great deal for the community as well as running a great pub. Opted for Bristol Beer Factory's Milk Stout, a good choice! Just three pubs to go!

Nice stroll up to the legendary Fat Cat where I've opted for Southwark Brewing's Potters Fields Porter. A smashing brew, glad I picked this one from the plethora available here

Moved a few doors down to the Ten Bells where the Lacons Superdelic is more Superdelic than it's no expense spared pump clip! 😂

Starting off day three of my walk around Norwich's City of Ale trails 2025 in the Plough and Grain's collab with Old Chimney's brewery, Vienna Gold. Its rich and sweet, just as the pump clip tells us.
A bit later starting today as I needed to help my elderly dad with a few jobs.

After that I walked down to Lollards Pit, a cracking pub, and had Mr Winter's Fusioneer. Beer in perfect condition as you'd expect here.

So I got busy chatting yesterday to some guys who I'd bumped into on last year's ale trails and didn't get around to continuing the thread. The next pub was the Trafford Arms to complete the Crystal Trail.
Had a tasty Two Tone from Shortts.
