If uncomfortable enough a Guard may request transfer.

Guards are almost always scrolling in some sense, so any interactions flagged by a report or request can be reviewed.

(Unfortunately the Sec sides with Clients more often than Guards, as they can point out Regs at any time.)
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Sexual contact and relationships are not expressly forbidden by Regs, actually. It is, however, included in the Regs that while Sec Guards must follow orders, they can decline what are instead considered 'personal requests' or solicitations at will.

Regulations run the gamut, from behavior to appearance to habits. Tattoos are in fact permitted by regulation, with current Client approval.

As Guards change in appearance over time, a full visual inspection is provided for Clients seeking to pick up new contracts.

The titles can get annoying but it requires a LOT of trust to be called anything other than 'Mister/Miss (Your Name)', and they will still very likely refer to you by your title to other people they do not trust yet.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
The most glaring example of this is a Sec Guard's deference to their 'betters'. Which is, essentially, anyone who is not a cyberpsycho or outright criminal.

Felons < Sec Guards < Everyone Else
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Guards must follow Regulations at all times. Even Client request cannot break these Regulations. Anyone can report a Regulation violation if they know them, which incites caution in Sec Guards even when given permission.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
All Guards, unless they manage to pay off their Purchasable Severance (a bill quantifying their training, housing, food, cybernetics, and other items purchased through the Sec or with a Sec discount), are decommissioned at fifty years of age.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
If a Guard is found to be acting out of order, they may be brought in for 'retraining' (read: forced BD scrolls and other points of review). If it is not correctable (whether because of cyberpsychosis or other means), the Guard may be decommissioned (killed).
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Some Sec Guards are forbidden from having a name; these Guards remain at The Sec and serve a variety of purposes. As punishment rather than being decommissioned, Sec Guards may have their name stripped and be returned to The Sec for retraining.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
And lastly, their name, correlating with their cadet and graduating class number.

(For example, Stratos is cadet 19 of graduating class 9 and. There is a pre-approved list of names to chose from. He ended up with Stratos Incultix: (S) - 19, ( I ) - 9 )
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
At graduation, the individual Sec Guard receives at least four things:
Their Sec jacket.
Their sidearm, and optionally a weapon that suits their skills (Stratos is an accomplished sharpshooter, so he has a rifle customized to fit).
Their first contract.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
If a Guard wishes, they may also install more chrome within these boundaries while at the Racks (not on contract) or with Client permission. This can either be added to their running tab of 'Purchasable Severance' or they can pay outright from their wages.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Further modification is available at client discretion, but must be approved and installed by the Sec in their own facilities.

(Usually this means: all chrome must be up to date, in spec, and is most likely expensive.)
This is at the client's expense.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Before graduation, all Sec Guards receive basic chrome (optics, hands, musculoskeletal) to improve their baseline skills and strengths. In the interest of preventing bouts of cyberpsychosis, Guards are somewhat limited on what cybernetics they can receive.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
protecting their client (a mannequin) in a manufactured enviro where they hunt down and make their (likely) first kill, usually in the form of a cyberpsycho that is much less easy to predict.

Some do not survive this test to graduate.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
They graduate after thirteen years (Stratos will sometimes say 'we graduate at fourteen' but this only really holds true for those brought in as literal infants) after a test of skill:
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Every Sec Guard was brought through Sec Intake under the age of 5 and placed with other children in their age group. They are trained in combat, observation, and discipline (the last includes Regulation) and given the absolute baseline for a decent High School education.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Not to mention the fact that they go into a field specifically to defend people who are much more likely to get assassinated.

While there are multiple classes at any given time and 26 cadets in each class, there are no shortcuts to 'raising' Sec Guards.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
(mostly because many corps fear espionage) but they may be used for small ops from time to time. Your average Sec Guard can replace 3-4 individual 'regular' huscle.

There are only ever a couple hundred Sec Guards at a time as they are difficult to 'make'.
March 17, 2025 at 12:22 PM
Usually for a cut of Guard Contract profits or for advertising rights (pasted on the side of their headquarters, or peddled to Clients along with their Sec Guard contracts).

Typically Sec Guards are dispatched to individuals rather than full corporations

.:{ ABOUT THE SEC }:.
Night City Precision Security Solutions (The Sec) is Stratos' own-...employer. While they do employ ex-Militech trainers as 'Educators', they are otherwise unaffiliated with any other corporation. They do strike up deals from time to time.
