yeah - that’s what the last 15+ years have felt like in our state.

i try my damnedest to use my privilege as a white dude to be an advocate and asset for others who don’t have that privilege. and yeah, trying to do some good, & therapy, have kept the bitterness at bay. it’s a journey.

it’s true regarding privilege. as to anger, i
am lucky to have a supportive family and access to care who helped me through the scariest & hardest times. i really appreciate what you’re saying and am going to reflect on it. i’m grateful to be alive after all of it and hope to do some good.

i became disabled as an adult (~5 years ago). can’t speak for anyone but me, but it didn’t change my moral compass or embitter me. that’s a choice i made. plenty choose a different path.

My wife’s very legal ballot is on the list as well. This is scary and entirely outside the bounds of a functioning democracy.
