My all-purpose AI reform is banning computers from pretending they are human. Having names, saying "I," pretending to have feelings, representing what they emit as "advice," etc. That's where much of the mischief starts.

The problem with op eds like this is that they simplify too much in order to get to a headline anyone will read “media literacy? HA! useless!” Where’s really more like “still useful, sometimes”

Interesting piece by @zey.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/08/11/o... - “the only, way to be confident of something that one did not witness is to find a reputable source and verify. Ah, what’s a reputable source, you ask?” —> sounds like media literacy still useful, so not buying the dismissal.
