That a bloke with a voice and an acoustic guitar could hold a theatre in the palm of his hand was what I learned that night. I remember being amazed that people knew his stuff. Like, how?

That might be the fork in the road, because if I had to choose based on memory of those years ago lunchtime album sessions I'd go for The Electric Co over Sunday Bloody Sunday. And thinking about it now, I can't really say why.

He was a warm up act for I think crowded house, the night they did the Split Enz set afterwards. A great eyeopener of a product of two AM radio stations to choose from. Fondly remembered. Thanks for the link.

Fair. Boy I liked - 4th form. War, not so much. Of the 'modern' stuff 'One' because it was out of step with their radio hits (Angel of Harlem aside). By now you might be picking up on me not being a muso. I do hope, and I expect the person who got my seat had a great time. I don't begrudge that.
