We shared the ISS visibility schedule on our local Facebook page, there were family groups up and down the street looking and pointing skyward at the appropriate flyover time.

Ask Larissa Turner.

Is there a muso explanation as to why that utter banger came into being? It seems out of step.

An incrementally centrist Waka is heading vaguely somewhere very slowly, and a libertarian wind can set it back years in the first one hundred days of a change of season. That's not a proverb.

That a bloke with a voice and an acoustic guitar could hold a theatre in the palm of his hand was what I learned that night. I remember being amazed that people knew his stuff. Like, how?
November 29, 2025 at 4:28 AM
That might be the fork in the road, because if I had to choose based on memory of those years ago lunchtime album sessions I'd go for The Electric Co over Sunday Bloody Sunday. And thinking about it now, I can't really say why.

But yay for streaming because I feel a retrospective coming on.

He was a warm up act for I think crowded house, the night they did the Split Enz set afterwards. A great eyeopener of a product of two AM radio stations to choose from. Fondly remembered. Thanks for the link.

Fair. Boy I liked - 4th form. War, not so much. Of the 'modern' stuff 'One' because it was out of step with their radio hits (Angel of Harlem aside). By now you might be picking up on me not being a muso. I do hope, and I expect the person who got my seat had a great time. I don't begrudge that.

Indeed.

I appreciate literally millions find joy in U2, whereas only hundreds of thousands find their music bland. It's for that reason that I gladly gave up my seat on the lifeboat* to someone who wanted to live beyond hearing someone (me) yell "play one of your two good songs."

*Free ticket.

Practically a suburb.

Solid answer.

Best gig I ever saw was crowded house in Hamilton. They were o.k. but after Tim Finn joined in and they played a long set of Split Enz bangers for what was their hometown show.

Epic night.

A frenetic shark attack.

You regret U2 though, right?

It was quite a thing - the tactical nuke.

Another fun fact, when the US navy became nuclear armed with their pre-nuclear age warships, the warheads were stored in the brig.

It's written on the tin. He is literally the climate change minister.

Winston's supporters think it's part of DMA.

It's also a shit song.

I regard a trip across on the ferry as something every school aged child should do at least once. But there's no way.

I'll take my and my family's chances with the Air New Zealand pricing algorithm and an ATR-72 or Q300.

It's only cynical bad faith if people believe it. Otherwise it's only cynical.

Which country has a centre-left Labour party?

No sweat.

I enjoy the railway content on bsky, but don't always remember to like or comment.

I keep reading "Challender" as "Challenger," and wondering why BNSF have adopted a UP word.

Nice pic.

Those fourwheelers look for all the world like NZR "L" type. Especially with the orange tarpaulin.

Well, a salt planet might knock off the kikuyu, perhaps. Possibly. From a certain point of view.
