And it’s a misleading oversimplification to say that “the corpus linguistics thing” is about textualism.
That’s certainly not true in my case, and I doubt it’s true in Stephen’s case, or in the case of the linguists who’ve been involved in the L&CL, or interested observers.

For most of my time there the heat & humidity oppressive, and kept asking, aloud, “Why the fuck would anyone want to live here.”
Then we went to Central Market, which, holy fuck, now I get it.
