A lot of suffering might happen before the right things start happening. It's a big societal shift that's going to happen and it's going to be a challenge for our species to adapt. But things WILL get better.

So bit by bit you will start to see measures passed like UBI, the income floor will get higher and higher, next thing you know everyone is entitled to a home and food, resources are being shared better, and AI is optimizing our way of life. It's a soft decline of capitalism over time.

the unemployment rate would become too high for any society to sustain, and if 90% of humanity is unemployed, poor, then you get revolt, riots, civil wars, etc.. those in power are afraid of being turned on. They would rather start to make concessions than lose their whole way of life.

It's certainly a risk, and one a lot of people are afraid of.
My view differs, and I tend to align with those who believe that the AI revolution will ultimately be what forces the dismantling of capitalism, brings about abundance, UBI, longevity, etc. Once most human jobs are automated,
