The Ring Nebula, Now with Argon! - AstroBin
This is my first experiment with the new [Ar III] (doubly ionized Argon) filter for the QHY miniCam8M. After this successful first attempt, I'm excited to try it on other nebulae. This was captured fr...

Thanks for the comp! Yes, I think the Askar 103 APO would be a natural competitor to this scope. I'll do a head to head when I have time to look at star shape / CA, etc. with unprocessed images

Seems good, and at a nice price for an FCD100 triplet at that aperture. Will be interested to compare it to the Askar 103 APO which I still have. I think this combo is pushing the limits of the new Sky-watcher mount, but more testing needed there.

It's Galaxy Season, and I'm testing gear I brought back from NEAF. The rig I used to take this photo of the Leo Triplet is:

A lot went into the creative execution of this image, so I've released a YouTube video concurrently where I talk about composition and more: youtu.be/1IOtiDJJ7sQ

In my new video (youtu.be/hLGjXJ3FxO0), I show dual narrowband processing with three popular workflows: Siril & GIMP, DSS & Photoshop, and PixInsight & Narrowband Normalization. Which is your favorite? #Astrophotography

First post here. This is my latest astrophoto. A familiar target to astrophotographers - the Cygnus Wall portion of NGC7000. It's one of those objects that is nice to return to every year or two. Details on astrobin: www.astrobin.com/b6x61h/ #astrophotography
False color image of the Cygnus Wall, part of the NGC7000 emission nebula. Colors are teal, blue, yellow, orange, and red.
