My less charitable view is that she got played by the Sixers and managed to alienate a large number of constituencies for a plan that was never viable.

I'm not so sure her instincts are that great (Kenney's a pretty low bar...) given the Sixers arena debacle, the city union strike and the recent housing program smackdown by city council. For sure, neither she nor Bethel want ICE running wild in Philly.

I'll be interested to see how Bethel and Parker do react if and when DHS decides Philly needs to be terrorized like Minneapolis. My sense is that Parker's more concerned with the 250th anniversary of Independence and the World Cup than civil liberties.

While I appreciate the sentiment, the fact is that the Philly Sheriff's Dept. isn't the agency responsible for enforcing law in the city. Not to mention, Bilal is the last person you'd want as your messenger.

I find it ironic that the same people who claim to love the Jews so much would send those types of messages or post this as a Federal Agency. Certainly seems disrespectful towards Judaism, not to mention all the other believers and non believers alike.
