Since we have an extra day in Ponta Delgada, have just booked a second whale watching tour, this one on a RIB, for Sunday, to go with the larger boat whale watching on Monday.

A week into the crossing, and I'm about 10% into my xstitch project, though I'm going to run out of floss soon (I have more at home, but only brought one hank with me.) I've also turned the heel on @curgoth.bsky.social's sock, and am about to start the lace on my shawl. Lazy and productive!

Have found my people. Giddily queer Lyft driver on the way to rug tufting at a queer owned studio. It's amazing how much more relaxed I am here.

Gotta love a flight that's delayed by 2 hours and 55 minutes. If all was right with the world, I'd be boarding now. But instead I'm in the lounge for another ~2.5 hours.

Really enjoyed @goingmedieval.bsky.social's Patreon post this morning about what is in your heart, and that if you vote for a racist? Guess what? You're racist! Same with fascists.

You know you're getting old and cranky when the uni students sitting next to you (in a primarily student-focused boba tea shop) are driving you mad.
They're just SO loud.

Reframe: I will pry my SSRIs from their cold dead hands. Fuck all of this.
New from me —

“What it comes down to is the removal of choice, especially when it comes to established health care. People should not have to suffer the anguish of being denied life-saving drugs because a couple of guys have decided to apply conspiracy theories instead of established science.”
You can pry my antidepressants from my cold, dead hands
A new executive order announced an "assessment" for the use of these meds in children. Adults aren't far behind.

I'm having a cozy Sunday-of-a-long-weekend evening, with knitting, @criticalrole.bsky.social (the Freaky Thursday one shot, finally) and, soon, tea.
Not going out in this snow again.
