how do his sort think they can get away with overlooking the fact that the US became the world’s no 1 economy directly because of immigration. There’s no universe in which it happened without it.

Thanks for correcting me. I’m realizing that that abbreviation trivializes an identity that I take for granted and that is complicated for many people in countries oppressed and/or colonized by the mainland US. I am sorry for any hurt I caused and will strive to do better in the future.

I like it bc it’s fewer characters, but I agree it makes no sense and is a ridiculous to say. I didn’t realize people had such a visceral reaction against it.

As someone from the US, I use it to indicate people from the US rather than Central or South America. But yeah, lots of people use it pejoratively.

Which means Bskyers should have known not to take the troll bait!
