yeah, I don't encounter them often but I feel like even they understand it's ridiculous to berate someone who gets enjoyment out of the series

for a while I was kind of on that side because it was popular to shit on avatar 1 after the hype died down

but like...the movie is objectively about indigenous people fighting back against murderous colonizers and a good chunk of the cast are people of color. like...what am I missing here

tbh it'd be a huge loss. as good as I imagine a book would be and how well it'd wrap up storylines...the entire point of avatar is the visual spectacle

the setting, background and visuals are just as important a character as jake or neytiri, so we'd lose a LOT 🥺

I think fire & ash is in the worst possible position where it's basically part 2 of the way of water (which might feel stale to some people), but it also needs to perform INSANELY well for us to get avatar 4 & 5

exactly! it's confirmed that quaritch really feels drawn to spider but he hates feeling vulnerable. and spider has grown up hearing horror stories about his dad, but still craves that connection

they're on both ends of a rope pulling in opposite directions, it adds an interesting layer to the world
