can someone explain to me what Booker is missing? he is clearly passionate. To me it seems authentic.

I don't think Hillary '16 fits clearly into any of these. She was unappealing but also not anodyne.

Otherwise, good framework!

there's a lot more in the thread than what fits in a single screenshot.

I'm here if you want to talk. Sincerely. I have plenty of self respect, and I respect you as well.

absolutely! the whole thing is kind of ironic too because when I was in middle/high school in the 00's, more and more parents were pushing to get their kids in those classes, so they got watered down academically. the actually "gifted" kids were skipping grades

this has happened to me like 5 times and i never post !

I grew up in the 90s reading Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side. IIRC Watterson cited it as one of his influences? but i never got around to reading it, sadly

What are you confused about? I'm not sure about the newspaper piece.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayday_... I donated to this back when it started, the point is to try to make it more difficult to buy an election. Elections shouldn't be decided by who has the most money to run manipulative Facebook ads

i used to read MT in middle school, and then a bunch of other webcomics. when i checked back last year i was shocked to discover that it was not fred gallagher but mae dean who transitioned
July 26, 2025 at 7:35 PM
honest question, I'm curious why you think it's harder post-transition? I transitioned at my last job, haven't looked for jobs since transitioning yet, but sometime soon likely. I was imagining it would be easier if anything

would just recommend getting one with a dedicated GPU. The integrated graphics isn't enough for regular web browsing in 4K on ubuntu..... drivers pain....

i'm still loving my thinkpad p1gen2 i got in 2020. 4K IPS screen, runs Ubuntu great. Haven't reevaluated since but i tried all the keyboards then and the Thinkpad was clearly still the best

i wouldn't care if this were an anon account but you seem to be using your real name and posting your work here and stuff like this unironically could affect your career opportunities in the future without you ever knowing

fwiw i appreciate you asking for clarification. I'm a 5'11'' transfem. I guess it bothered me partly because there's a lot of derogatory stuff cis men in CS could say about our bodies, I think it's best for everyone if we try to be kind to each other.
June 22, 2025 at 11:20 PM
a lot of men are insecure about their height, because, unfortunately, a lot women actually do use it as a filter when dating.

"manlet" is a pretty derogatory term, height isn't something that people can control, why are you smh'ing at this? it's mean and unnecessary.
