The ink look very black on the cap, but it is melanin which is brown, so perhaps to be expected. But some spores are green or other colours.

Very nostalgic trip to present at the Scottish Microbiology Association in Dundee. Could see the bridge my father worked on when I was a boy, and also my old house - all from my hotel window.
