Red-breasted Flycatcher near Czerlonka, Podlasie, Poland. Even on the breeding grounds, a lot of the singing birds are first summer birds that don't have a red breast, so to get a full adult male is always a treat! #Birds #birding #Poland #birdphotography

White-tailed Lapwing, Armash Fishponds, Armenia in May 2023. This bird was showing very nicely, but seconds after this shot was taken, the bird was in distress as a cow stepped on its nest breaking all of the eggs. Hopefully, they laid a replacement clutch #Birding #Shorebirds #birdphotography

This Glossy Ibis has been making occasional visits to Kenfig Pool for over a week now. It allowed a nice close approach this morning before flying a little further up the shoreline where it continued to feed #birdingWales #ukbirding #birds #birdphotography

The main reason for travelling to South America was to find this little beauty - the critically endangered Hooded Grebe. It breeds only on isolated lakes in Southern Patagonia, Argentina. We only saw one, but who needed another after this encounter on the first lake we checked... #birdingargentina

I was fortunate to see this beautiful Red Fox at Kenfig Pool well before it saw me, so I was able to sit quietly as it approached ever closer before jumping right in front of me to make a kill of what looked like a vole - a tasty morsel I'm sure, but not enough to fill it up!! #wildlifephotography

Whilst it is a regular double passage migrant on the reserve at Sker, Grey Plover is a pretty rare bird at Kenfig Pool, so I was thrilled to find this very confiding bird which was only my second ever there this morning. #birdingWales #ukbirding #birdphotography #shorebirds
