I've used my job and kiddo as excuses to get out of things I don't want to do. When the kiddo no longer wanted to be part of their dad's family, not being able to take time off from work was used a lot (it was true most of the time). Sometimes it is easier to have passable reasons to not do things.

That's so annoying. There's the possibility of more than one person not being Christian so in a group setting "Happy Holidays" is the inclusion way. It is so damned annoying how some Christians feel that they are or should be the center of everyone's world. I've started to say "wonderful holiday".

I would ask her about why she types that way and depending on her answer share the impact it could be having on others or mention it to her manager. The manager may have already spoken to her about it and your question could let him know the ongoing impact.

I do love reading about words and their meanings/history. I'm such a vocab geek, especially if it counts as a Scrabble big score or is college level. Is college level vocab a thing elsewhere or is it just another way for Americans to feel smart?

If kids eat, then they can more easily learn. The conservatives don't want them to learn. Education leads to liberal leanings. It is about way more than filling empty tummies. Sadly.

In NH and Vermont, they're mostly in dresses, skirts are a bit less common. Not that we have a lot of them. I don't think I recall ever seeing a female meteorologist in pants.

Even if you do a ton of marketing, you're not likely to get much traction. I do no advertising on my erotica and I make a few dollars most months. Enough for a cup of coffee, usually. My other books? I've sold a few but not many. I write for my own pleasure and don't worry much about making money.

It's free. It's going outside, spending time reading together, getting enough sleep...recognizing your emotions and what is causing it, deep breathing, etc. It can be easily be added to health class, reading/English, etc. It is very simple stuff that you don't need any schooling to be able to do it.
