this comes up when artists talk about their work but maybe it just didn't make an immediately positive impression? what if it made people think and they need some time to process it even if it doesn't make them happy? it's good if it helps them grow, right?

Charlie‘s biggest redemption project (other than maybe herself, of course) being the sinner who not only enjoys others’ suffering but has emotionally hurt her and betrayed her trust would be very fitting in her character arc

storytelling isn’t meant to be purely formula, or just a mechanical set of tropes arranged in the most efficient way

storytelling is inherently organic, inherently *human*. to be human is to be imperfect. (this is also why i am very much in favour of writing characters as *people*)
