Left-ish; social responsibility; politics and international relations; labradors; literature and history.
In the course of social-media "debates" with right wingers, it appears that for many, his and his cronies' racism isn't racism and if anything, he's not right-wing enough for many of them. Terrifying.

If found to have broken spending rules, it should invalidate the Clacton result and prompt a by-election, but I don't think the Electoral Commission has any real power.

Because they're blind to everything except 'stop the boats' and 'mass deportations', and Farage deviously feeding their confirmation bias.
December 16, 2025 at 5:13 PM
He basically said this in his NSS.

We need to build more unity with the EU and independence of America. As Freedland said in The Guardian, the Trump administration "looks ever more like a criminal enterprise" which leaves us dealing with a sleazy businessman and his hand-picked cronies.
December 16, 2025 at 5:08 PM
That's the 'spanner in the works' isn't it, and the reason why we need a unified EU defence that doesn't rely on America.
December 16, 2025 at 1:26 PM
Most do that now. Reuters doesn't but you only get a certain number of free reads per month.

Well, I'm also a wannabe famous boxer with no actual skill or experience and a big ego, so maybe Netflix will pair me up with a real boxer for a pre-choreographed fight and a big pay day. Oh, and I don't have a YT channel; does that matter?

Reform liars emboldened by their orange god of lies.
December 16, 2025 at 12:59 PM
To misquote George Carlin, facism has arrived not in a black or brown shirt, but in a Savile Row suit and silk tie.
December 16, 2025 at 12:53 PM
As George Carlin said: "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
December 16, 2025 at 12:51 PM
I've only now noticed Yusaf sitting there; how does he reconcile that?
December 15, 2025 at 8:39 PM
I agree.
December 15, 2025 at 8:34 PM
There can't be any doubt this is really about how each of them can personally benefit from their positions. Anyone with any decency and sense of patriotism wouldn't: a) say such things and b) defend them.
December 15, 2025 at 8:33 PM
The really scary thing is that earlier today in a "debate" punctuated by profane abuse (at me, not by me) a person told me that Reform isn't as right wing as most of it's members / supporters! There's clearly a dangerous element in the wings.
December 15, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Not sure I agree with that: I think it's more about the propagandist psychology that underpins Farage's rhetoric and the tactics he uses.
December 15, 2025 at 7:44 PM
Undermine was the wrong word, yes; perhaps forestall would have been better.
December 15, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Just when it seems he can't get any lower, he plumbs new, disgraceful depths. He pilloried others for criticising Charlie Kirk, yet disrespects the memory of this man. The so-called *leader* of the free world isn't fit to lead anything.
December 15, 2025 at 7:34 PM
This seems more like an attempt to undermine the far right and appeal to the populist vote than a genuine, critical evaluation of what the ECHR stands for.
December 13, 2025 at 8:25 AM
If anyone's unsure about the direction of Trump's agenda, have a read of the new National Security Strategy: "European Union . . . censorship of free speech"; "Cultivating resistance to Europe’s . . . trajectory"; "Encouraging Europe to . . . combat mercantilist overcapacity".
December 12, 2025 at 8:33 AM
Can't get my head around how elected officials making such comments are allowed to remain in post. Regardless of any apologies, surely the values that underpin the comments are still there and which questions their ability to function impartially.
December 12, 2025 at 7:11 AM
Wouldn't it be great if the journalist replied something like "You're a much worse president than I am a journalist"
November 19, 2025 at 5:31 AM
That has as about as much merit and credibility as Farage on GBNews.
November 13, 2025 at 2:35 PM
Ah! That must be because *he* has all the talent: him, he holds all the talent that exists everywhere all the time; nobody has ever held all the talent as well as him in the history of all the history.
November 13, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Good, and about time; a waste of money that compromised independence of political bias.
