Yes! I was closeted for most of my life, and as soon as I let go of the « right way » of doing stuff, I experienced love. A lot of guys have internalized that single=inferior, which makes them demand a partner. They don’t realize that you could be single forever and still be a worthy human being.

As a lesbian, I also went through a miserable bachelorhood, so I’m sympathetic. The problem is straight men blame the misery on the the other sex, but I think there isn’t enough focus on how economically dire it is to be single nowadays regardless of sex. Singleness should not be so impoverishing.
