I agree to an extent. Would Hitler have succeeded had the populace not gone along with it? Doubtful. Would the US have Trump as President had the populace not gone along with it? Also doubtful. Citizens don’t get to excuse behavior because of “the state.”

I honestly don’t understand why this was too much for them but nothing else he has ever done was too much for them.

This was my grandfather’s story. He was a Polish immigrant so when he was in Europe he translated for survivors of Dachau.

I really want to know how they think they’re going to get away with it. Because there are thousands of people who have actually had to do their jobs according to these laws and who know they’re lying.

As a Navy retiree spouse, I hope to see these guys at Nuremberg 2.0. Cowards. Disgraceful. I so feel for the men and women at the bottom of the chain of command who have no one to rely on.

I’ve seen better essays from my 10 year old. It was so poorly written and read more like an opinion piece than a well-researched response. And I read the instructors’ responses and that is exactly what they said. It was not college-level.

It’s like they’re either not even trying to hide it or they think we’re too stupid to understand they’ve done this before.

The Enhanced Fujita scale is based on damage. The NWS can only designate a tornado an EF5 if the damage it causes occurs to a building or buildings built to certain specs. Which is not occurring, hence no EF5s.

😂 OP implied places like the US have building codes for safety while China does not. But, in reality, codes only go so far as builders and inspectors abide by them…which doesn’t happen in the US. Exemplified by the fact we don’t get EF5 tornadoes anymore because builders aren’t building to code.

There’s a reason we don’t have EF5 tornadoes anymore in the US. Builders aren’t exactly building up to code…

They have two GS employees taking care of the backlog from a month and a half plus all the new work that’s coming in. I imagine other offices are dealing with similar. And it was all for nothing!
