I experienced and re-experienced exactly 112 pieces of media this year. That's 17 more than in 2024. Kind of unexpected, given everything that's happened in my life this year.
Alright, this will be my 2025 media thread.
December 31, 2025 at 11:45 PM
As for me, this was my fifth time watching it, and it might have been the most important viewing experience of my life. Prayers are things we fill with hope for the future's blessings.
112) The Garden of Sinners latest rewatch

This latest rewatch was with my mother, who was watching it for the first time. Seeing her reactions was great. She especially loved that, despite all the terrible things that happened, there was so much light in it. I'm glad she truly loved it in the end.
December 31, 2025 at 4:41 AM
I'm starting to understand what Cloud, Mikiya, and Shirou experienced upon seeing someone of particular importance for the first time. It's been internally driving me insane for quite some time now.
December 27, 2025 at 12:54 AM
This clip means so dam much to me. A 37 year old Touko is acting like this. She's come so far.
December 26, 2025 at 7:40 PM
I gave this sweet cat a scratch home for Christmas. She's loving it.
December 26, 2025 at 1:03 AM
Yeah, playing through Fate Hollow Ataraxia made these movies that much more impactful for me. This interpretation of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table mean so much to me. I also gotta appreciate FFVII more for it being my first experience of them.
December 25, 2025 at 7:35 PM
I know this site is only slightly better than the other, but unfortunately, a few people on that platform don't enjoy it here. The thing that annoys me the most is that I care about them too much, especially one in particular. I guess I'll be going back and forth constantly again.
December 25, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Bless Bruce Willis so much. The man doesn't deserve what he's going through right now.
109) Die Hard latest rewatch

This movie is just a dumb fun action Christmas film. The characters are so full of life. The scenes have such a great style. It's no wonder it's such a timeless classic for this time of year.
December 24, 2025 at 11:48 PM
I feel bad for all the genuine artists right now. I don't even think this place is a decent enough alternative to be posting art.
December 24, 2025 at 11:42 PM
I'm glad I decided to watch this movie for the first time right before Christmas. I can see why it gained classic status in the National Film Registry of preservation.
108) It's a Wonderful Life

Worthlessness is what we feel when we don't fulfill all the dreams we set our minds on. Yet the heart fills itself regardless, with all the miracles and chances it's surrounded by. So there's never a good reason to end yourself.
December 23, 2025 at 5:01 AM
I'm currently writing an article regarding my experiences with these films, along with how they compare well with what's currently going on with the use of AI. I'll be sharing it soon but not on here.
107) Terminator 1&2 latest rewatch

The first film is solid, but the second is arguably the best movie sequel ever, as it seamlessly ties everything together. The action scenes are phenomenal, and the story themes are well executed. It's amazing how timeless they are, especially in T2.
December 23, 2025 at 4:28 AM
I almost forgot to add this to the list. That one scene with Anya will never be the same, unfortunately.
106) Spy x Family Code: White rewatch

Nothing special about the movie, but I find it very enjoyable. The animation is great, the action is good, and the characters are fun. Sometimes that's all you need for a decent animated film.
December 20, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Funny how I always thought this was a Disney animated film. Well, now it is by rights. I think this film was also the beginning of my understanding of what I'm looking for in a relationship.
105) Anastasia latest rewatch

I've watched many animated films as a child, but this one will always be my top favorite from that time. It was one of my early steps toward understanding myself. Memories truly are precious, and identity is liberation from being in a box.
December 6, 2025 at 7:24 PM
For anyone who loves Andor or Fate regarding ideals, this game is a must-play, especially in these times. If Artoria symbolizes the embodiment of ideals, then Ramza is the ideal revolutionary. What a timeless classic.
104) Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles

Everything about this game has aged remarkably well. The features and improvements in this remaster only enhance its solid foundation. This experience has reaffirmed why it's the greatest FF spinoff ever made.
December 2, 2025 at 6:21 PM
I am everything I’ve ever experienced, I am every person I’ve ever loved, I have grown and changed before and I will grow and change again.

One day the best of humanity will be strong enough to see the brightest of futures. Goodbye once more all of Evangelion.
103) Evangelion Rebuild Saga latest Rewatch

Humanity contradicts itself, which leads to more struggles in its story, but there is so much beauty in that struggle. All decent beings will continue to believe in and act from the best of humanity, which is knowledge, love, and hope.
December 1, 2025 at 6:29 PM
It's amazing what human beings can achieve even when they haven't fully grasped their foundation yet. This film truly captures the enduring will, despite being shrouded in fog.
102) The End of Evangelion latest rewatch

Seeing visually that the creator was still trying to be hopeful despite how they felt at the time is something that will always move me. Reality is ever-changing due to desires and dreams. Just as dreams can be shaped by our own reality.
November 27, 2025 at 11:24 PM
So after watching every movie I've been interested in seeing in theaters this year, I can safely say that the Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze Arc was my absolute top favorite.
101) Sisu: Road to Revenge

This movie is simply a good action movie. Yes, it's insane, but it lacks depth. Nonetheless, it was a decent film to watch in theaters. The ending was a nice touch.
November 26, 2025 at 5:37 PM
I know a remake by Square can fix the issues it has, but since I don't see them doing anything with this IP anytime soon, I'm glad there will be a spiritual successor for it next year.
100) Parasite Eve latest replay

The unique creepiness this game has is unmatched and its gameplay still holds up. While the level designs are whatever, the only real issue is that the final battles are not exactly set up well. Overall this game is still a joy to play to this day.
November 14, 2025 at 8:38 PM
With all the latest installments, it's safe to say this IP will start to have a brighter future again. I look forward to what Dan Trachtenberg has in store next.
99) Predator Badlands

This is easily my third favorite Predator film in the franchise. Its unique way of expanding the lore in a comic book style was really refreshing to see on the big screen. While there are some artistic choices I did not like the overall film was an amazing experience.
November 13, 2025 at 7:12 PM
This movie was a great reminder of what I believe in. This path will continue to be forged through sun and rain, and I shall rejoice in all its experiences.
98) Frankenstein (2025)

The cinematography was great, the characters were amazing, but the execution of the themes presented regarding identity, responsibility, creation, cycles, and the free will not to be monsters was done phenomenally.
November 8, 2025 at 7:52 AM
Oh, this movie was more joyful to watch than ever, thanks to our current times. Everything about it is phenomenal. Ideals are truly worth protecting and passing on.
97) V for Vendetta latest rewatch

An idea has no life, but give it meaning, and it will flourish. Every action has consequences, and we must accept them whether we like it or not. Let us remember our past mistakes. Let us improve the present. Let us protect a brighter future.
November 6, 2025 at 7:37 AM
The chase scene is the best I have ever seen in any film. The only one that compares to it is the one in Terminator 2, which still blows my mind to this day. Also, the way the story shows Bruce's wounded humanity, but in the end rises above it to be something more, is truly something special.
96) The Batman latest rewatch

The cinematography is godlike, the music is on point, action scenes fluidly hit, characters are top class, and the writing themes are incredibly executed. Overall, this rewatch has fully reminded me why this film is my top favorite live-action Batman movie.
November 2, 2025 at 12:12 AM
A quick death is needed for the likes of them, yet why does such a world allow the choice of being a monster such as that? In my vision of the world, that path would be completely eliminated.
95) Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1 by Daniel Warren Johnson

This series really keeps being my top favorite comic version of Batman in many years. The writing and art are in many ways describe exactly how I feel about these topics.
October 30, 2025 at 5:39 PM
Yeah, after watching this movie 4 times now, it absolutely is one of my favorite animated films ever made. Time and time again Fujimoto keeps on reminding me why he's my top favorite mangaka nowadays.
94) Chainsaw Man Reze Arc Movie

The movie was truly phenomenal! The animation was god tier, the acting was very charming, the music was banging, and the action was killer! Bless Fujimoto and everyone involved in creating one of the best animated films I've ever seen in theaters!
October 30, 2025 at 5:26 PM
Fujimoto really blessed me during my birthday week with the Reze movie release and the latest Chainsaw Man chapter
