I'm not. I feel like it would be massively hypocritical to fault them for playing with a tool that we also played with at the same time before anyone knew it was evil. If they had continued or gone further, different story.

apparently this all stems from some placeholder textures that the sandfall devs made using early AI tools in 2022 that slipped through QA and made it to launch (replaced 5 days later).
2022. the same time we were all trying midjourney because we didnt know it was theft. i doubt they knew either.

I was there for the whole thing. Rally started at Seattle center, followed the monorail line all the way to Westlake, turned down Pine toward the market, turned south on 1st and ended at Pike. I was about halfway through the crowd (right near the giant Constitution)...

I've come to the conclusion that we have triggered Murphy's trap card: we keep asking to live in precedented times, cause it sounds good. but the longer this shit keeps up, the more of it *becomes* the precedent.
So I think we all just fucking monkey-paw'd ourselves.

Too late now for dinner suggestions, but if you have time for breakfast food tomorrow: The Buena Vista. Excellent greasy spoon diner food and world famous Irish coffee (you can also take the cable car straight there). It's a SF requirement for me.
