For my old and new followers, here are some fandoms and favorite characters you can get to know me by.

Curious to see what we have in common and what this says about me.

I've already put about 50 hours into the new Story of Seasons.

Cozy games are my jam that I can put hours to, and are honestly a good distraction. Do what brings you joy.

I listed the movies in order of their release and I couldn't decide between Predator and Prey, so they're tied.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the classics like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street, but I feel like the ones I listed more uniquely represent my tastes.

Conservatives really do live in an alternate reality.

Conspiracy theories have replaced facts, lies are their truth, and no matter how many times you call out their hypocrisy or lies, they'll still believe whatever their cult leader or some YouTuber says.

Don't get me wrong, there ARE good critics and media criticism channels out there, but again, the algorithms always promote the most toxic ones.
nerdysasquatch.bsky.social
I would still love to know what it is about Film Twitter and the animation community that attracts the most insufferable and egotistical people who wouldn't know good faith criticism if it bit them in the ass.

Going to say it again - if your business model can't exist without theft, then it should not exist at all.
nerdysasquatch.bsky.social
I can't stress enough that hating things because they're popular is not a substitute for a personality or good faith criticism.

If anything, I see it as a red flag that someone not only lacks critical thinking skills, but only cares about likes, clout, and attention.

"This movie I don't like is made by AI" has got to be one of the worst and laziest bad faith criticisms I've seen yet.

It's incredibly insulting to the humans working on those movies, and an "AI movie" will be so bad that even the lowest rated movies will look good by comparison.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the same politicians who want you to believe that censoring the internet is "protecting children" are the same ones who are protecting rich and powerful pedophiles and won't lift a finger to stop gun violence or lift kids out of poverty.

The still of Doctor Hibbert in the picture frame right before he punches Hugo is not only one of the funniest frames in The Simpsons, but it might be one of the funniest in all of animation.

Treehouse of Horror VII is my personal favorite TOH.
Dr. Hibbert, with a very stoic look, is holding a picture frame to trick Hugo right before he punches him.

I know the world feels like shit now, but I also believe that there is still good in it and good people.

Don't let the bad people take away your joy or drag you down with them.

I met Tommy Wiseau as well, and he's just as enigmatic in person as he is on screen.

So I actually got to meet Greg Sestero at a midnight screening of The Room and he's honestly a pretty chill guy. He doesn't strike me as an egotist like some actors and he took the time to sign my copy of his book and answer our group's questions.

7 - Retro Puppet Master (1999)
Retro Puppet Master

First time watching.

Considering the source material, its honestly not a bad origin story for both Toulon and the puppets. And yes, this is the one that stars Greg Sestero and he's honestly a surprisingly decent lead. It's a better performance than The Room. With the right script, I think he could have been a good leading man in Hollywood.

I always love funny to me how there's a Simpsons quote for every situation and current event now.

That's what I call leaving behind a cultural impact and legacy, and honestly, the newer seasons have been pretty good. The latest episode called out AI.

All these losers do is give attention to the things that they hate and let people become aware of good games and movies they might not have otherwise looked up.
nerdysasquatch.bsky.social
The saddest thing about all of these anti-woke chuds is that they're all the same. Their fans don't care about them, but rather that they simply tell them what they want to hear.

There's no growth, no critical thinking, no substance. Just an endless feedback loop for the grift.

What ruined social media was a combination of many factors, but the biggest one that did it in was algorithms.

Algorithms promote toxic and constant negative content, highlight only the worst people, and encourage low or no effort for instant gratification. That's the problem.

But you know that President Manbaby will have a huge meltdown if he doesn't win and I wouldn't be shocked if he starts threatening Norway.

If the Nobel people cave and give Trump the Peace Prize, then they should never be taken seriously again. This is a man who threw the world economy into chaos, bombs fishermen, sends the military after his own people, and cut aid programs will cause the deaths of millions.

Citizen Kang is my favorite, but The Genesis Tub is a close second.
Title card for The Genesis Tub Treehouse of Horror VII segment.

Lol. This isn't going to end well. Remember when Elon promised humans would be on Mars by now?

And nobody but his biggest bootlickers would be interested in touching that slop with a ten foot flag pole. I think people would prefer to play games made by actual humans.
Elon thinks that his AI company will release an AI-generated game by the end of 2026.

Lol, good luck with that.

Maybe it's just me, but I always like to avoid spoilers and especially leaks whenever possible. It's more fun to go into a new game or a movie as blind as possible.

And at least this place is good at respecting that.
