there was (with a datasheet too!) but it was only available through a few nonstandard release channels, currently I think it comes bundled in the character encyclopedia they recently released

A lot of yugioh’s per-card theming also plays into the history of the metagame and older mechanical design which doesn’t translate externally imo, stuff like the series of cards that directly reference the banlist
